Terms of Service

1. The service

BusyBee connects customers with vetted independent professionals ("bees") who complete tasks on a per-day or per-week basis. BusyBee coordinates matching, quality review, and billing. Bees are independent contractors, not employees of BusyBee or of customers.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You're responsible for activity on your account. One account per organization is fine — invite teammates rather than sharing logins.

3. Pricing & billing

Prices are quoted per day or per week as shown on the Pricing page or in an approved estimate. A billable day is a calendar workday in which an assigned bee performs work on your task, up to the approved hour estimate. Estimates cannot change without your prior approval. Weekly billing is charged at the start of each week; daily billing is charged at the end of each worked day.

4. Cancellations

You can stop daily-billed work at any time; you pay only for days already worked. Weekly plans can be cancelled before the next weekly cycle begins. Unused prepaid weekly days are credited to your account.

5. Quality guarantee

If a deliverable materially misses the approved brief, notify us within 5 business days and we'll redo it with a different bee at no charge. Support and all project communication are provided by email and through your client portal; we do not offer phone, video, or in-person meetings.

6. Acceptable use

Tasks must be lawful and must not involve harassment, deception, infringement of others' rights, or content harmful to minors. We may decline or halt any task that violates these terms, with a refund for unworked days.

7. Work product & IP

Upon payment, you own the deliverables created for you, and bees assign their rights in that work to you. Bees retain their general skills, know-how, and any pre-existing materials, which are licensed to you as needed to use the deliverables.

8. Confidentiality

Bees and BusyBee will keep your non-public information confidential and use it only to perform your tasks. Don't share bees' personal contact details outside the platform; work and communication stay in the hive.

9. Non-circumvention

For 12 months after a bee last works with you, hiring or contracting that bee outside BusyBee requires our written agreement (a conversion fee applies). This is how we keep vetting rigorous and bee pay high.

10. Liability

BusyBee's total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid for the task giving rise to the claim in the 3 months before the event. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

11. Changes & termination

We may update these terms with 14 days' notice by email. Either party may close the account at any time; sections on IP, confidentiality, and liability survive.
